Just to say that I found out a solution for my case. (see below).
kdensity beta, nograph generate(den_beta_ord den_beta_value)
scatter den_beta_value den_beta_ord if den_beta_value <= 1
But still the graph is not clearly cut at 1.
So axis_scale(range()) is still on my wishlist (expand to expand/reduce)
