st: one-sided t-tests

Do i understand correctly that for one sided t-tests with regression coeficcients, I do the following (H0:c=0, Ha: C<0):
a)check if the coefficient is negative
b) divide the pvalue by 2.
Reject null if p value is significant or if coefficient is positive.
