Kit's point against manually copying the files is well taken.
So, you need to use the "net set" command to change where Stata will put
the ado files that it downloads when you do "net install..."
Say there is a directory you can write to, which is "y:\katarina". Type:
net set ado y:\katarina
Then, to make sure Stata looks there when you type in the command, type:
adopath + y:\katarina
Then download the command as you tried to do before when you got the error
with the "net" commands.
I _think_ that should work.
