I don't use "Word", but the solution I suggested--
graph display, scheme(s2mono)
just tells Stata to redisplay the current memory graph using the s2mono scheme. You can play with the various schemes that are available in Stata with Graphics->set scheme/size. The s2mono is a black and white (monochrome) scheme. If you are trying to produce B&W graphs, it works well.
