One can always create a new dataset of the summary point
estimates and CI's and re-analyse those with -metan- to
generate a "comparison" forest plot. The summary stats
are returned after a -metan- run or can be hand entered.

-metan- is a user-contributed program and, as such, does
not benefit from direct StataCorp support. One can, though,
work out the necessary code for the wanted bells and whistles
and propose it to the author for inclusion in his work...
Or you can clone it, add the bits to your version, then
consider contributing and supporting (at whatever level you
are willing to do) your version for the benefit of all.
....or, StataCorp could take on the project of providing a
supported suite of meta-analysis commands ...but I'd advise
not holding your breath while waiting!
