The help for -tabulate- is found by typing
. help tabulate
or
. whelp tabulate
which points to the -matcell()- option. But
for other stuff, including cumulative frequencies,
it is often much better to think in terms of creating
your own variables with -gen- and -egen-. There
is stuff on this in the FAQ.
Note also the possibilities of -contract-,
enhanced since the release of Stata 8.
