- -rfl- supports file names of up to 259 characters, even in Stata's
non-SE Intercooled. It is tested under Windows XP with Stata 8.2, both
SE and non-SE. It is supposed to work with other Windows versions, too.
I've been reported it has been run on a Unix system successfully, but
not on a Mac.
I can verify that the latest version does _not_ work on Mac OS X, at
least not the dialog mode. Most of the text labels in the dialog box
are unreadable using standard fonts; they are all scrunched up. But the
serious issue is that the Choose.. button does nothing at all. It does
not bring up the standard File Open dialog. Hitting "OK" gives a box
indicating that nothing has been done, but Choose does not give that
option.
