st: Spreadsheet and Stata under Linux

Dear All,

I remember under Windows I can copy a column from Excel and paste to  
Stata's data editor without problem. How I am trying to do the same thing,  
but instead of putting data in a column, Stata put everything in one cell.  
I tried Kspread, OpenOffice Calc, and Gnumeric. Has anybody encountered  
this probem, is there any ways to work around it? Thanks!
