st: Transparent background in graphics

I would LOVE to be able to generate graphics with transparent
backgrounds. I have selected color=none for the appropriate areas, but
end up with a light blue background rather than none. I have tried
exporting both as eps and pdf (Mac OS X) and get the same result from
both of them.
