Haven't tried it. -labedit- is a user-written 
program. The user no longer is active with Stata. 
My wild guess is that recent changes in either 
Stata or Windows have broken -labedit-. Bad news for you if 
true. 

A ragbag of commands in this area is on SSC under
-labutil-.
