Clemson University Environmental Health and Safety is seeking to add
an individual to its close knit team of professionals. This position
will develop, implement, and maintain a VPN secured web based system
for the collection, storage, and analysis of the University's
lab-related materials inventory. This individual will also prepare
user documentation, including user manuals, and interact with users
and others to assure program meets the stated needs and are

This individual will be required to have knowledge of the
capabilities, programming techniques, and intricacies of computers,
especially servers; the ability to write and revise complex computer
programs; the ability to understand and carry out technical
instructions and requests; the ability to analyze and reduce to
logical order complex technical data.; the ability to communicate in
a clear and concise manner; and the ability to design and implement a
secure TCP/IP based database system.
Title: Computer Programmer II Band: 5C Salary Range:
$26,378 - $48,804

Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
and experience in the design and maintenance of complex networked
systems and databases.
Preferred in addition to the minimum requirements:
Experience in the design and implementation of VPN secure databases
over a TCP/IP network; experience with OS X Server or in a OS X
/Unix/Linux environment; experience in client-side security
certificates.
