Fred Wolfe's -fsum- with the "uselabel" option will produce the table you
want.
For example:
. fsum price mpg trunk, stat(n mean sd min max) uselabel
Variable | N Mean SD Min Max
-----------------------+---------------------------------------------
Price | 74 6165.26 2949.50 3291.00 15906.00
Mileage (mpg) | 74 21.30 5.79 12.00 41.00
Trunk space (cu. ft.) | 74 13.76 4.28 5.00 23.00
