Hi everyone.

New, improved versions of collapseunique and funcdep have been placed in the ssc archive -- both within the collapseunique module.

collapseunique collapses data to unique values in by-groups.
funcdep tests for functional dependency.

(For more info on what these are good for, download the files and view the help files.)

If any of you have downloaded these in the past, I recommend that you get these revisions. The improvements are...

For collapseunique,
by() is optional; you can collapse over the entire dataset as one group.
Certain safeguards have been put in place to prevent accidental clobbering of data.

For funcdep,
basis() is optional; you can test the entire dataset as one group.
A bug was fixed which was leading to false negatives in some situations (with the testsep option).
(That bug would extend to collapseunique, since it calls funcdep.)
-if- and -in- have been added.
It is now sortpreserve.

For both, you get more extensive hlp files.

Thanks to Kit Baum for his part in placing these into ssc.
