A package -mgen- has been added to SSC. The package
can be used to apply -generate- to a matrix, i.e., the
columns of a matrix are interpreted as variables and new
columns can be -generate-d (or old columns -replace-d)
according to a specified list of expressions. Use -scc-
to describe or install.
The package proved to be very usefull to me in connection with
-tabstat-, -tabstatmat- and -mat2txt-.
