This is a follow up on a bug I reported on Dec. 29, 2003 in my thread
http://www.stata.com/statalist/archive/2003-12/msg00643.html about
-window menu append item-
StatCorp confirmed to me the bug the following day.
My attention was diverted from this bug because in the ensuing discussion
with StataCorp it resulted that the whole -window menu- family of commands
has incompatibilities scattered here and there with Windows 98.
I now upgraded to Windows XP but the original bug is still there.
. window menu append submenu "stUser" "DoEdit"
. window menu append item "DoEdit" "My Dissertation" `"doedit "C:/Documents
and Settings/Renzo Comolli/My Documents/Here/my dissertation.do""'
Still gives the following error message when you click on the menue
. invalid 'and'
r(198);
Am I doing something wrong? Or is the bug there?
