Further to the discussion on counting the number of variables in a list,
here's a small request. I recently used xcorr (cross correlations of time
series) and throughtlessly typed a string of variables. The program
returned correlations for just the first two. It may be that there are
many ado files that would benefit from a minor editing to add parameter
checking, in this case to add (min=2 max=2). Alternatively, xcorr could
be extended to take more variables and loop to find all pairs.
