Dr. Finkelstein
You can obtain a highly abbreviated version of the 40-year Framingham
data set from my web site at
http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/prevmed/wddtext/index.html#datasets. The
data set called 2.20.Framingham.dta is the most complete on this site.
I have been given permission by the Framingham Heart Study (FHS) to post
this data on my web site for didactic purposes. Anyone is free to use
it. However, if you wish to publish anything that uses these data you
are expected to cite the FHS and publish an appropriate disclaimer,
which they will provide. To contact these investigators, please see
http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/about/framingham/contact.htm
You may also apply to them for a much more extensive version of the 40
year Framingham data set which they make available to legitimate
investigators. The FHS have a most commendable and generous history of
sharing their data with the academic community.

On the topic of Framingham, is any one aware of a site at which one can
obtain raw data for the Framingham cohort?
