Mr. Epstein,
I am not sure if this will save you a lot of time, but I think it will
reduce the time that you spend cropping the PDF files. If you export your
graph in the following way:
graph export C:/.../graph.ps,
mag(175) /* I found this to be a good level of magnification for
since I like my graphs to be the size of a letter-size page*/
orientation(landscape) /* This looks good for most graphs */
fontface(Garamond) /* A pleasing font, but optional for most purposes */
replace /* replaces an older version of the file */
logo(off) /* No Stata logo */
tmargin(.5) lmargin(.5); /* margins of this size will minimize white
space, but if you're embedding the graph onto a page, you might want to
make them even smaller */
