This was badly phrased. It could be read as a criticism
of -statsby-. Rather, there is no reason to expect that -statsby-
could work as users might desire with globals specified
on the command line.
In context, leaving results behind in globals was a good
and useful method for Stata programmers, and it is not
completely obsolete. But it has long been superseded by
the practice of results behind as r() or e() class results.
