Dear Stata-listers,

I am using a logistic model for a binary dependent variable "y" and an
explanatory variable "waste3". It is a comparative study of multiple sites
and hence I am producing a logit model for each site.

For a few sites I get the message

	xi: logit   y   i.waste3
	"note: waste3 dropped due to collinearity".

For others the message changes to

	xi: logit  y   i.waste3
	"note: waste3 != 0 predicts failure perfectly".

Will it be fair to assume that the two situations are equivalent.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Amani
