I forgot an important thing abount mem allocation!!!
Win98 can't allocate more than 256 MB at once to each program (someone told
me that!) even if stata accepts a -set mem more_then_256m- command.....It
was exactly what happened to me some months ago....I had to change to
win2000 to be able to manage my 512MB at once.
