No bug, I think, but a misunderstanding.
. ado dir
shows you a _history_ of what you have installed.
There is just one file of each name in a given
folder or directory. It would be difficult
for both your OS and Stata to cope otherwise.
Among other possibilities, -mypkg- from SSC
shows you packages installed by last date
installed.
