Hello,

I would like to use the command outfile to save data in a format that can be read by SPSS and at the same time contains the names of the variables, so that I do not have to specify these names before I start working with my data in SPSS.

Do you have an idea?
I don't know what SPSS can read, having fortunately not had to use it for a while. However, I think you might be looking for the official Stata command -outsheet-, which outputs data to a generic spreadsheet that can be input by Excel and other spreadsheet programs. (Type -help outsheet- in Stata to find out more.)

I hope this helps.
