Dear listers
(Stata8, win2k). I have a set of explanatory variables that can broadly be
grouped into two (based on the first few letters of the variable names)

groupA: avgspring avgcrsgpa avgfrstsem
groupB: deltaspring deltacrsgpa deltafrstsem

(the original variables were "spring crsgpa frstsem" and from these I
constructed the variables above).

I would now like to (after regression) test (jointly with the previously
tested hypotheses) whether the coefficients on two variables from the same
"original variable" are equal . This can be done using

test avgspring = deltaspring
test avgcrsgpa = deltacrsgpa, accum
test avgfrstsem = deltafrstsem, accum

and it is OK for a few variables, however, I need to do this for many more
variables so my question is, CAN THIS BE AUTOMATED (can i repeat myself
without running mad).

Ronnie
