By default, Excel thinks that numbers in parentheses are negatives (its accounting lingo). The easiest way to fix this is to use the bracket command with outreg. Excel does not treat brackets the same way and then if/when you convert to Word, you can change the brackets to parentheses.

Hi there,
does anybody know why, when you send your regression output to an excel file using the command outreg, the standard errors (and any other values in parentheses) actually have a negative sign in front? Sending the regression output to a word document or txt document is fine, but does not work equally with an Excel file. Is there a solution to that?

Can anybody help please?

Many thanks
