You can set up the tool to pass a command to Stata, as it invokes Stata.
(Such as 'do $Filename', which fires up Stata and executes the current
Textpad file as a do file.)
So if it could be coaxed to pass that to the currently running Stata,
then the tool would be the equivalent of the 'do current file' button in
Stata's do-editor.
