Rodrigo Brice�o had a winmail.dat file attached to his posting to this
list. There is a pretty firm policy against it and it causes many of us
problems. For me, if STATALIST is long, my e-mail client will only let
me read the whole posting (I get STATALIST as a DIGEST) as an
attachment. When there is a winmail attachment, I can't read the
original file as an attachment. So out there, when you forget to
disable the winmail attachments, you are making life very difficult for
some of us.
Perhaps there should be a filter that would exclude such messages from
being posted. Marcelo, can we think of this?
