Thanks to Kit Baum, an -rvpplot2- program has been added to
SSC.
-rvpplot2- gives a residual-versus-predictor plot
after a regression-type command.
It is a generalisation of official Stata's
-rvpplot-, except for different defaults for the
-l1title()- option.
-rvpplot2- works after more commands than -rvpplot-.
Several residual types are supported and residuals
may be shown on any specified transformed scale,
such as square, to show relative contribution to residual
variance; absolute value, to set aside sign; root of
absolute value, a useful scale on which to check for
heteroscedasticity.
Stata 7 is required.
To install, type
. ssc inst rvpplot2
in an up-to-date Stata.
