Proceedings of the 4th UK user group meeting

The 4th Stata UK User Group Meeting
The Royal Statistical Society
12 Errol Street, London EC1Y 8LX
15 May, 1998

Synopsis

The 4th UK user group meeting took place at the Royal Statistical Society in London on 15 May. Ana Timberlake of Timberlake Consultants organised all the logistics and I arranged the programme.

About 60 people attended, and we were pleased to welcome Vince Wiggins from StataCorp. There were 6 papers, one economic, one geographic, one of general interest, and the rest biostatistical. There was also a session for shorter contributions of about 10 minutes each. Abstracts of the papers are posted below or on www.timberlake.co.uk. Speakers names and email addresses are included, and anyone interested in obtaining a copy of a particular ado is invited to contact the appropriate speaker.

The meeting ended with a short presentation by Vince Wiggins, in which he described the areas he and other people at StataCorp are working in. There was then an open discussion.
